A huge thank you to The National Lottery Community Fund for an amazing funding award. It has enabled us to purchase necessary equipment and subsidise sessions for our vulnerable learners. This has allowed us to re-open and safely run 1:1 equine-assisted learning sessions for our learners each weekday for the remainder of this term.

We are thrilled to welcome Dartmoor ponies Gracie and Fynn to EAQ Manor Farm. They are both five years old and have come from Hill Pony Resources, a rescue centre specialising in Dartmoor ponies. They will be spending six months with us here in Somerset enjoying our countryside. We are looking forward to introducing them to all our learners. Check our Facebook page for regular updates and short films of them settling in.

Holiday clubs

Our Easter and Half Term Holiday Clubs are open for bookings. They are filling up fast so contact us to secure your place. We have arranged plenty of good weather but it may be best to bring your wellies just in case.

25 February 2020

We have welcomed two new ponies to the farm; Blossom and Basil who have joined us for an extended working holiday. Blossom is a gentle pony who likes to be calm and quiet. Basil is an out-going, curious Dartmoor pony, small in stature and big in personality. They are settling in well and looking forward to meeting all our learners. Check out their selfies on our About Us page.

We are sorry to report that our horse Tobiana died last week. She has been an important part of EAQ Manor Farm and has worked with many of our learners. She will be very much missed by us all. Rest in peace Tobiana.

As well as our Half Term Holiday Club we also hold a club on the first Saturday of the month and we’re currently taking bookings for our last few available spaces. If you are interested in spending time with our animals and having outdoor adventures such as lighting and cooking over a campfire then ask your grown up to contact us and book you in. We would love to welcome you to EAQ Manor Farm.
We will soon be open for bookings for our Easter Holiday Club. Come and take part in some special spring-themed activities and find out what the Easter bunny has hidden in the woods.

Get fit and support EAQ Manor Farm

Are you planning a run, walk or swim challenge for 2020? We are looking for supporters to help us fundraise. There are lots of local events to choose from including the Yeovil Half Marathon on 29 March, the Taunton Half on 5 April and The Great West Run on 11 October. If swimming is more your thing, why not create a person challenge such as swimming the 22 miles of the English channel in your local pool, or joining an organised outdoor swim in Weymouth? If you’re interested please get in touch for fundraising details.

Every penny raised helps us to provide opportunities for outdoor, equine-assisted learning for children and adults.
